A golden butterfly fell into the keyboard.

If One Hundred Years of Solitude were a keycap set you touched every day, what would it look like?

Not too solid. It should carry a little moisture, a little mist — the feeling of memory just surfacing from tropical air.

The core of this set is not simply green. It is frosted, semi-transparent, water-vapor green — the green of Macondo’s plants, the old house, a window after rain, a fate that keeps returning.

Then a touch of aged gold. Not the gold of celebration — the gold of an ancient family crest, an alchemist’s instrument, the trace of light left in the air as a golden butterfly passes through.

Some keys feel like memories wrapped in green mist.
Some feel like gold thread along the edge of a manuscript.
Some feel like a butterfly that just landed — and just left.

In the Great Authors Series, what I have always wanted to make is not simply “printing a book onto keycaps.” It is to let you, while typing, truly touch that world.

This time, what you touch may be a hundred years that is humid, solitary, mysterious — and very beautiful.
