When Dante’s monumental epic meets Gustave Doré’s masterful copper engraving burin, a black-and-white world that has shaken centuries comes to life.
What we set out to do was not simply print illustrations onto keycaps. We wanted to miniaturize the soul of those precious ancient volumes in the British Museum — and place it on your keyboard.
The Aesthetics — 19th-Century Vellum
No plastic feel. We obsessively recreated the authentic tactile quality of aged 19th-century vellum. Look closely at the detail shots:
- Subtle yellowing grain across the surface
- Scattered age spots left by time
- Dried watermarks along the paper edges
Every keystroke delivers a matte, textured sensation beneath your fingertips — as if turning the pages of a rare manuscript that has slept for a hundred years. Total immersion.
The Details — A Complete Giant Engraving
The entire keyboard is one complete panoramic print.
The Enter Key — The Gates of Hell
Using the shape of the Enter key, we faithfully recreated the famous Gates of Hell from the Inferno. The thundering inscription is carved directly into the stone texture:
LASCIATE OGNE SPERANZA, VOI CH’INTRATE
(Abandon all hope, ye who enter here)
The Spacebar — Charon Crossing the Styx
The classic panoramic scene of Charon ferrying souls across the river of the dead. Visual tension at its peak.
The Letter Keys — The Quiet Detail
The letter zone is never empty. A faint underlayer of cloud and rock etching texture makes the entire keyboard feel unified — as if writing on an ancient scroll.
This is a desk collectible for literature lovers, art enthusiasts, and devotees of dark aesthetics.
It has nothing to do with trends. It is only about the classic and the eternal.
